What is the difference between 6mm, 7mm and 8mm cardamom?

The grade refers to capsule size measured across a sieve. 6mm Bold measures 6.0–6.9mm, 7mm Extra Bold measures 7.0–7.9mm, and 8mm Jumbo measures 8mm and above. Larger capsules generally carry deeper colour and higher essential oil content, which is why they command a premium in export markets.

Do you supply samples before a bulk order?

How should green cardamom be stored to keep its aroma?

Store whole capsules in a cool, dry place away from direct light, ideally below 25°C and away from strong-smelling goods. Cardamom holds its aroma far longer as whole capsules than as ground powder, because the volatile oils stay sealed inside the pod.
